 This cutie turned 19 today!

I'm pretty happy that she's home and was able to spend her birthday with us :)  She choose a tri-tip dinner (delish!) and of course, some pumpkin pie for dessert.  Jacquie was my only baby that came early (before my due date!).  She was a rather naughty little girl, but has grown into a beautiful and responsible woman. We love having her home (she helps us SO much!)  Happy Birthday Jacquie! We love you!

 Jacquie really got her birthday presents earlier... she got some great luggage and an exciting skydiving trip.  We were able to scrounge up some other gifts...

A Great Weekend

Jim and I just spent the weekend with these two college kiddos! It was the best! We bought them lots of food at Costco, took them clothes shopping, ate out, and did a lot of talking! We are a little poorer but it was great to see them and make some memories.

They were gracious enough to let me eat out at my favorite place ever: Cafe Rio! It was delicious like always!!

Thank you Kevin and Marissa! We loved every minute of the weekend. We are so proud of both of you and all the good things you are doing! :)

Fierce Warrior

I found these priceless photos the other day. Jacquie and Andrea were with me. We all laughed until we cried.  Like-- who does this???  

Just an average day for a growing girl with a wild imagination. That's who.

I'm so glad someone grabbed the camera and recorded these scary hilarious fierce photos.

We all slept a lot better knowing this fierce warrior was close by.

Creepy Coincidence.....

So, the other day I decided I needed a new profile picture for facebook.  Not a huge priority... but since I had just gotten my hair done, I thought it was a great time to snap some photos.  And seriously, I don't like doing that because it is creepy weird to take pictures of yourself because it just doesn't seem natural.

Anyway, Andrea was totally game to take a photo or two with me.  The above picture was one of the last we  took.  We had a hard time getting a good one.  At one point I just started clicking the camera and we randomly took these photos.

I promise. No communication went on between us at ALL!

I'm pretty sure that Andrea and I are kindred spirits or mother and daughter.  We thought it was pretty creepy  crazy that we made the exact same faces at the exact same times.

Can you hear the 'Twilight Zone' music in the background now??

it's the one she bought from Marissa-- you know, the one who WON it!  Seriously, we understood. We didn't need to see it.

Kern County Fair

A few days ago we went to the Kern County Fair.

I'm pretty sure it is the same every year.

Except for this. I don't think we've ever seen the gourd display before.  What a nice little gourd family.
