One Happy Camper
Today we hoped for a waterproof cast. The doctor pulled a fast one-- probably because Riley was so sad he didn't get one last time--- and just took the cast OFF!!

When You're 15....
Our Andrea turned 15 today.
We've been singing the Taylor Swift Song in our heads ALL day!! :)
Once again I found some pictures of this wonderful girl on my phone. :)
That's a bonus for a birthday post!!
I don't know how are family would be without this little girl.
She has made all of our lives a lot more fun! Yes, she did cry a lot when she was little.... But she makes us laugh a lot now. Seriously. This girl makes us laugh until we cry. Laughing during Sacrament meeting isn't the best... but I'll admit that sometimes she is just so funny I even laugh then.
It's hard to be serious for a long time when you're with Andee. That is for sure.
This year, Andrea's most amazing kindred spirit friend helped make her lifetime dream-- of having a surprise birthday party-- come true. It was great. She was totally surprised!! :) Thanks Morgan! (And Allie!)
Sorry about the zombie eyes..... Gotta love the flash!
Andrea is an amazing girl. She is beautiful. And so talented. She can do anything she sets her mind to do. Sometimes I wonder if she even has any idea how much potential she has stored up inside...
She surely will change the world. I'm sure of it. And the world will be laughing the whole time.
I love you little Andee-loo-hoo!
Thank you for being my baby girl. :) My world is so much better with YOU in it! (And I know your Dad feels the same exact way!!)

Hunger Games
I did something for the first time--- which was a great way to keep myself feeling young as I approach another birthday (ever creeping closer to that ridiculous icky sounding age of five zero....)
I went to a midnight premiere of The Hunger Games!!!
Andrea and my friend Gail went!! We stood in line, waited hours in the theatre, and got home in the wee hours.
Was it worth it??
Heck yes it was!!!

Andrea + iPhone = pictures
Andrea has an obsession.
It's taking pictures of herself on my phone.
One never knows what they might find.

Love from my class
Pretty much, I hate the cast. It does, however, keep me from doing too much with my hand. Each day it gets a little better. :)
For sure all the names of my students reminds me that it was worth it to get the cast and get back to work!! They even lie and tell me my handwriting looks good.... When I know it looks like 1st grade writing!!
5 more days.
Patient I'm not. But I'm trying.

Boo!
And I was so excited to get the splint off.....
The only way they would let me go back to work was with a cast. :(
At least I can use my fingers a little bit more.

accident prone
Jimbo has been playing a few games lately.
He's been trying to stay or get in great shape for his upcoming half marathon. To do this he's been playing basketball for a couple of hours, twice a week. And playing in a soccer league.
Seriously. I don't know how long his body can hold out. Two twisted ankles. (Now he owns and wears high tops-- even though he still twists the ankles.) And lots and lots of bloodied legs. ick.
But last night. This one was a doozy. He was playing goalie and took a knee to the head. He stupidly amazingly drove himself home. He made it. Lots of blood, a bump, and all the makings of a concussion. I was about to take him to the ER.... but he insisted he was okay. Not a great night's sleep for me-- I had to make sure he was still breathing. He didn't have too bad of a headache today... but some beautiful shades of black and blue appearing every hour. Yikes.
I say he has to play with a little less fierceness or stop playing. Every game equals an injury. And seriously.... the Wagner household can only take so much!! I've about reached my maximum limit for health problems.
a broken hand (Riley)
a black widow spider bite (Andrea)
mono (Kevin)
a reappearance of hives (Jacquie-thankfully it wasn't too bad)
head trauma, twisted ankles, and numerous flesh wounds (Jim)
and
hand surgery (me! this was scheduled.... 'just' a cyst removal)
MARISSA
you are our only hope!!!
(help us obi wan kenobi)
Please stay healthy and strong!

How long will it last?
12 boxes.
TWELVE BOXES of cereal.
I wonder how long it will last?
With Riley in the house? My guess is 6 days.
Anyone care to guess? Perhaps the closest will win...
a box of cereal!!
