It's Raining ROCKS!!

Why is Riley so sad??Well....

Today at his school, it was raining ROCKS?

What? You've never heard of raining rocks?

Apparently, rocks can rain down from the sky when "non-thinking" girls throw big rocks up in the air. Can you imagine... if you throw something up in the air it will eventually come back down??!!!??? Who would've thought that!!??

Unfortunately for Riley, the rock came down...

it came down hard and fast!

He ended up getting to leave school early, get a lovely tetanus shot and....

How cool is that? Really, not very cool. Riley had planned a wonderful day snowboarding on Saturday. That might not happen.

The State Capitol

Marissa's 'We the People' team did very well at the California State Competition. Here her unit is preparing for their hearing in an assembly room at the state Capitol. Centennial High School finished placing 4th in the state. It was a VERY close competition with the scores on Friday having only a 10 point spread. Even though the team was disappointed to not place higher, they did an outstanding job! Every hearing was strong.
We took everyone to the capitol. I think everyone is happy the hearings were over at this point!
