Mesmerized

I couldn't resist snapping this picture of our two intense sports fanatics. If you have any doubt take note of their apparel. And they are still wearing these shirts even though the Cougars are stinking it up this football season.

Now, look closely at their faces. They are near tears as they watch their beloved 49'ers blow their game. It's tragic isn't it? I almost went to get the tissues.

However, immediately following this terrible, ridiculous loss their most beloved team of all
THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS
clinched their division.

Thank you Giants for scooping our boys out of their moments of despair! It's about time!!

Shim and Shudy

This is Andrea with Max!
This is Andrea with Chloe.

Chloe and Max are our favorites. Andrea is their favorite babysitter. Jim loves Chloe and Max so much he will heat the "little pool" (aka jacuzzi) up for them. Judy has loved these little kids since their birth. They have us wrapped around their fingers.

Chloe let me take her to primary a few Sundays ago! It made my week. (She's a little on the shy side- so this was monumental!) And Max-- well he is pretty much the funniest kid ever. One of our favorite things about Max is how he says our names.

Yes, you guessed it...
He calls us Shim and Shudy (rhymes with Judy!).

Andrea is called Asia. Riley is called Osley.

Adorable!

Finally a Soccer Player

It took many, many years for Andrea to agree to playing soccer. I'm certain her dad asked her every year since she was 5. She always said no. We think it was because she had been to dozens and dozens of soccer games since her birth. I guess she was a little bit justified.

However, this year--much to our surprise--Andrea said, "I think I want to play soccer!" I promise that we didn't sleep on that information. We quickly signed her up! We all have known for years that Andrea had some natural talent for this game.
One of my favorite comments overheard at one of her games was from one of her teammates when she was talking to her parents, "That is Andrea and she's never played soccer before but she is really, really good!"
Andrea can do a mean impression of her coach-- who the girls have a love/hate relationship with. She is one mean defender! You don't want to mess with this one!

Thanks for playing Andrea! We love going to your games!

Blogging Skills

I have blog skill envy.

I admire people who have the skills to design blogs and web pages. They are so cool. These are definitely some skills that I want. Perhaps they have a book entitled blog designing for dummies. That would be me!!

Today I am a little proud that I correctly changed the colors on a template. This wasn't easy (at least for me!) but I did it. I think it only took about 2 hours-- LOL!

I made my cute header (for free!) at Scrapblog. I am pretty sure my children will fight over who is who-- I will never tell except that Jim and I are the vampires. :)

For now I will be satisfied with the new skills I learned today!

Jealous!

Last night Marissa and Jacquie went to this.

Jealous am I.

This woman has walked a path that none of us would ever chose to walk. She is amazing. She is beautiful and helps all of us recognize how beautiful we really are.The girls were even more amazed with her after hearing her speak last night. The best part was when they told me that the talk was taped and it will be online in a few weeks.

I will wait with impatience and baited breath.

At least I get to listen to General Conference this weekend. General Conference brings a flood of emotions to me every time. More posts to follow on that!!

FOOOOOL'S GOLD

A few weeks ago, Jim brought home some dirt from the mountains. I think he said it was dirt from a funnel. ???

So....
Riley and Jim 'panned' away.

All they found was 'FOOL'S GOLD'.

Why put it in all caps you ask?

Well, because Jim must have yelled 'FOOL'S GOLD' so many times Andrea's and my ears rang for days!!!

Sorry you didn't have better luck boys!
