13 DAYS!!

Only 13 days folks!!

That is less than 2 weeks and I can hardly stand it!! I've never been so excited to get up in the morning because it means we are one day closer to seeing Kevin. I'm just trying to keep myself super busy. (I wish it was a little harder to make up lists of things to do... I have SO much to do and SO little time to do it!!) I was also super excited to change the calendars to August.

Aren't you super excited too????

Young Men's Camp

Riley also just returned from a week in the mountains. He is a member of the teachers' quorum. They camped from Saturday to Saturday. They left from the main camp to hike Mount Langley (elevation 14,027 feet!) in the middle of the week. They even held church in the mountains-- thus the white shirts and ties!!
I know these boys had lots of fun :)

Here they are with their fearless leaders ready to embark on their 3 day journey to conquer Mt Langley! Good times!

Riley was also fortunate to do some repelling while at the main camp. He LOVED it!! He returned tired, smelly, and coughing! (Nothing some antibiotics won't fix though!) A big thank you to all the great leaders who took them on a great adventure. They are ready to take on Mt. Whitney now :)

Grizzly Adams

Grizzly Adams Wagner

Jim just spent 1 week in the wilderness with the young men of the ward. He also hiked 55 miles which included summitting Mt. Whitney (the highest spot in the continental United States at 14,495 feet!!). I don't know why they don't shave there.... But you can rest assured that this scruffly face was clean shortly after arriving at home!!

19 = Old Enough to Marry

This little beauty is now "old enough to marry."
Well, at least that's what my girls think age 19 signifies. :) (and by no means does this mean that my girls want to get married at 19, they just think it isn't sketchy to get married at 19!) (The title is a joke-- so no one better think that we are proposing or anything-- just to be clear!!)

Happy Birthday to my sweet Marissa aka Rissa-Roo. It has been 19 years of great fun. She came into this world fast and furious 19 years ago-- at least that was what my labor and her delivery were like. I remember being so excited that I had a little girl. (It was ancient times in 1991- when people didn't always find out what they were having before they had it!! Crazy, I know!) I went on and on about being able to dress her in pink dresses and lacy socks. I just knew that this sweet little baby girl would not only be my daughter, but that she would be my friend too.

Our family is very fortunate to have this amazing girl in our family. She is super smart, great to talk with, and very, VERY funny. She keeps our family laughing and using correct grammar!! She is an amazing student and an even more amazing writer.

Happy, happy 19th birthday Marissa!!
I love you Rissa-Roo!

P.S. I think 19 is a little young to marry... no rush, take your time, no need to hurry!!! Play, travel, study abroad, read, do fun things.... (and that goes for my other kids too!!!)

He knows I love Bears!

19 Days!!

I can hardly stand it! I have never wanted time to go by so quickly. For Elder Wagner-- I imagine that these days are very bittersweet. I know he is excited to come home and see us, but I also know that he has loved serving a mission and he loves the people in Dallas. I might even add that I think he loves Texas-- except for chiggers. I must admit that I will miss having a son in the mission field. I know that our family has been blessed in so many ways because of Elder Wagner's service. So maybe it is a little bittersweet for me too-- except mostly sweet :)

By the way-- I'm pretty sure that Elder Wagner took this picture for me. I love bears...

Happy Anniversary!

Velta & Royce- 1945

If my parents were both alive today they would be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary!! They were sealed for time and eternity on July 27, 1945 in the Logan Temple. This is the first anniversary that they've been 'together' for 17 years. I'd like to think that they are so happy to be celebrating it together again.

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!!

Cute College Coeds

These 2 girls enjoyed being in Utah for Pioneer Day!
They had no idea that Utah was the place to be.... and that it is a celebration bigger, better, and tastier than the 4th of July!!
They tried a yummy new treat... a Hungarian Chimney Sweet.
The loved the treat AND the cute return missionary (he served in Hungary of course) who was making and selling this yummy treat. Rumor has it that they talked with him for a very long time!!
I'm glad they enjoyed their first Utah Pioneer Day!
